ホノルル美術館での
公演に出演いたします
“Pacific Crossing,” a concert celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the “Gannenmono,” the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii in 1868 features a collaboration of awesome artists from Japan and Hawaii SATURDAY August 4 (7:30 pm) and SUNDAY August 5 (2 pm includes a pre-concert talk with the artists) at the Honolulu Museum of Art’s Doris Duke Theatre. Featuring HIROMITSU AGATSUMA (Tsugaru Shamisen), CHIEKO KOJIMA (Hana Hachijo, dance, taiko), KENNY ENDO (taiko) with special guests YOSUKE ODA (taiko), NOEL OKIMOTO (vibes, handpan, drumset). The artists have been working hard all week teaching workshops at Taiko Center of the Pacific’s Summer Taiko (and Tsugaru Shamisen) Intensives AND collaborating on a piece honoring the Gannenmono.
